What is Candida How does it Impact our Body?
Candida is an albicans yeast that is normally part of your gut flora; a group of microorganisms that live in your digestive tract. Candida albicans are usually harmless and only start to cause health issues when there is a change in your body, whether due to internal (health concerns) or external (diet & lifestyle) health. When overgrowth occurs, it disturbs the healthy balance of the microorganisms in our gut. Some factors that could cause changes in our gut health and candida of these changes include:
Significant and prolonged yeast overgrowth in our body can often create health issues that may not have present before and or increase underlying issues that may not have bothered you before. Not only does our physical condition deteriorate, but it also impacts our mental and emotional state. Often times, our emotions and rational thinking is one of the first signs of changes to our health due to candida overgrowth. Emotional changes that can sneak up on you without realization can include anxiety, anger, significant stress, headaches, migraines, and inability to control our emotions often leading to emotional outburst.
Physically, when our bodies have a yeast overgrowth, we begin to ‘feel’ differently. It can be anything from pain, soreness, headaches, nausea, fatigue, lack of energy, migraines, or just an overall feeling of tiredness and the desire to do nothing. It’s important that we recognize these feelings and ensure we do something about it as soon as we realize. The longer we let the more minor issues set, the more likely we are to have other health issues that can be more significant and serious, requiring more resources and support to relieve, such as cardiovascular health issues, organs functioning well, and even cancer. The little things are often overlooked, making it far easier for these signs to be ignored or unnoticed.
What is important is not only that we need to be aware about is now just HOW & WHY Candida overgrowth occurs, but more importantly WHAT we can do about it. Candida overgrowth is related to our gut health, which is directly influenced by our diet and lifestyle. If we eat a lot of bad food (junk food, alcohol, numerous types of carbohydrate rich foods, sugary foods/drinks, etc.), in turn our body will reflect it (weight gain, increased blood & sugar pressure, hypertension, mood changes, etc.). It’s never too late to change our habits and develop good habits. The easiest thing that can be changed/improved for the better is our diet. (Please refer to our Bland Diet Suggestions for more Information about Candida Diet).
Importance of Diet & Lifestyle
Candida is yeast overgrowth; it’s natural within our bodies and helps with digestion. The problem is when we have too much where it no long stays in the gut but travels throughout the body via the blood stream. Once candida spreads throughout the body, our bodies really change, and we begin to feel the effects of prolonged neglect. Symptoms and signs can manifest and cause physical changes to the body, impact our mental & emotional state, and can trigger underlying health conditions if not properly take care of.
Diet is key in how we regard candida. As it’s related to our gut health and often the first indicator if you start jotting down what you eat and noticing the patterns. Candida feeds on sugar; the more we continue consuming large amounts of sugar (food or drink form), then it’s far more likely for them to have an overgrowth of yeast in our gut. Learning to cut back in the type of foods we eat and eating balanced ‘healthy’ meals is key. Some food items I recommend avoiding in order to decrease growth include:
We’ve always talked about the importance of diet, digestion, and developing better habits to create a longer, healthier, and happier life. Candida is one of those topics that every individual acknowledges it’s harmfulness, but in reality, don’t truly do anything about it. It’s not something that will disappear overnight and will take time to control and decrease, often even months in order to make a dent in the damage. The first step to eliminate candida before any step is to change our diet! The next step is to do a detox with the Candida Cleanse Herbs reinforced by herbal pills (Taifu Plus, E15, and DTF).
Our gut health is important to our overall health. When we feed it foods that may not be good, we are ensuring that our doom is eminent, the question is a matter of when, not what or how; will I feel sick sooner or later? In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we not only bring and herbs as a form of healing, but also as a lifestyle. If you know you don’t feel well, don’t just sit there and wallow, do something about it; be proactive in learning about your individual body’s health.
You may think it’s just the sugar or what types of foods we eat, but we must understand one key point: that’s only the surface level of candida. Getting rid of sugars and foods rich with carbohydrates only serves to ensure that it doesn’t grow more, it still doesn’t change the fact that yeast overgrowth is still present in the body and needs to be cleaned and detoxed out. But how do you know if you have candida? Besides the symptoms mentioned above, there’s a very obvious way to tell if you have yeast overgrowth that manifests physically.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, our physical body reflections the condition of our internal organs and our overall health. Candida overgrowth can show a physical sign on the body that’s easy to recognize. Besides the symptoms mentioned above, one of the surest and easiest ways to see if we have an overgrowth is our tongues. Do you notice an unusual white layer on the surface of your tongue? It can take on an almost furry like visual texture. You may also notice other grooves, ridges, and marks on the tongue that you may have never noticed before. In time, if not taken care of properly, infections and other health concerns may become present. Bacterial infection often shows a yellow coating on the tongue which denotes that the infection has been going has been occurring within the body for quite some time. If Candida overgrowth is not taken care of at the beginning, it will further increase and can cause more gut issues that can potentially even lead to infection.
The reality is that our tongue is a representative of our health and internal organs, when we notice changes on the surface of our tongues, it means that our health is impacted and affected in some way or form. The best thing to do from there is start being aware and take notice of what is happening. What did I eat in the past week? What did I drink in the past week? Did I do something out of the ordinary this past week? What are my habits; is it good or bad for my health? These questions are often the indicator of our overall health and likely will set the tone for the rest of our lives; so should we create better habits if we know we have bad habits or live the rest of our lives unwilling to change a bad outcome? I know I want the former; a longer life, a happier life, pain-free. We do detox here quite often, they’re extremely helpful to maintain overall good health.
Please follow the instructions below for maximum benefit. Consumption of sugar should be kept minimal. Alcohol, seeds, fish oil (dietary supplement products) should be avoided. If you notice severe white or yellow tongue coating, E15 should be taken regularly with the herbs. One pack of Candida Cleanse contains 3 sets of herbal packets and 3 sets of crystal herbs. Each set alongside the crystal herbs are good for only 3 days. We recommend to always get at least 2 packs of the Candida Cleanse herbs (6 individual packs and 6 crystal herbs sets) which will last for 6 days.
**1 Candida Cleanse herbal package set will yield 3 cups of tea, good for 3 days. We highly recommend to take continue the candida cleanse herbs for at least 6 days for best results.
In addition to Candida, we recommend have the E15 herbal pills as well. These two herbal remedies work great together, helping to eliminate the buildup of candida while also eliminating the toxins in the body at the same time. There’s a reason why we call them ‘detoxes’ as it deep cleans your body from within, helping you to start fresh and new. Why not time it together with the start of the Spring season? There’s no such thing as not being prepared, especially when we’ve much the past 2 months stuck at home and eating who knows what simply because we’re bored. The temptation is so real when there are no constraints...but so is the desire to feel better and start anew. Nothing works better than doing the cleanse for a week then feeling absolutely amazing after.
