I'm a resident of the East Coast - USA (Philadelphia, PA) and I have had a twenty year battle with endometriosis & multiple cysts. I've had laparoscopic surgery and medication (birth control pills) but I've only experienced limited and temporary relief.

My symptoms mushroomed from sporadic menses with some cramping to horrific menses with vomiting, loose stool, EXTREME pain - pain so severe that I could not stand upright or walk or urinate without grinding my teeth and counting the seconds until the pain eased. I've missed days from work and my quality of life deteriorated as my life revolved around a two week saga (one week of pain, fatigue, food cravings, extreme irritability and then, during the week of menses, EXTREME pain, vomiting, loose stool and painful elimination.)I've suffered having two weeks off and two weeks of horror during my cycle for decades with very little assistance, as traditional medicine seemed resigned to there being little, if any, viable treatment.

Recently, I was a vendor a local open-market and a fellow vendor mentioned her Mother's problems with multiple cysts had been resolved when she contacted Hen Sen Herbs. I had been advised by other homeopathic physicians and herbalists to avoid dairy, meat, sugar, etc. and this resulted in some reduction in symptoms, but I still had pain and discomfort a week before most of my menses.

When I contacted Hen Sen Herbs, I was hoping for the best because I was very weary and I simply wanted to get on with my life. I really wanted to find someone to, finally, help me solve the problem. I spoke to Juli Isogai and she was so confident in the body's ability to heal and she was so empathetic. This was already a treat for me because confidence and empathy was something I had suffered without during my long stint with traditional physicians.

Juli asked questions and had me send photos of my tongue, my protruding stomach, etc. After additional assessment by phone and email, she suggested specific herbs for my ailments. The most unexpected thing is that I experienced an IMMEDIATE result when taking the herbs! As advised by Juli, I refrained from eating certain supplements and certain acidic and hard-to-digest foods and I took the herbs, as suggested. Amazingly, I had NO symptoms the week before my menses. In fact, I was so accustomed to having symptoms that I thought I had miscalculated the due date. I thought I was a week off because I assumed that since I wasn’t sick, I wasn’t going to menstruate.

I really don’t remember the last time that I began menstruating without some tell-tale, painful symptom. When I began menses with ease and NO PAIN, I was amazed. I forgot that so many women in the world menstrate without cramps, bloating, pain or vomiting. I also realized that I would have to be mindful of my dates of menstruation now, because the pain and bloating were my pre-menstrual warnings. I'm excited to have some semblance of normalcy so soon in my treatment.

I had period from Sep. 5 (cycle was 33days). It was the BEST period I ever had in my life!

Usually on the first day, I have some brown spot for a while, and after that I have flow. But this time, I had nice smooth flow from the beginning, completely no pain. I almost forgot about my period.

I had nice flow for 3 days, and 2 days are spot. And today (5th day) almost gone. This is the healthy period, isn't it? What was my life like before?...always had painful period...

I hope your are taking some time out to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having, and that everyone in the family is happy and healthy. Please thank Juliana for the exercises and the very thoughtful note, which I have been meaning to reply to.

I have given out a lot of the taifu pills at work and socially. Unfortunately, most people have a short attention span and once the discomfort is gone they simply forget or grab an over the counter medication of some type the next time. They do not seem to realize that after a certain age health takes a little work. I have made many referrals to you but to avoid wasting your time I always warn them that the diet must be a part of taking the herbs. Most of the people I know are interested in "quick fixes" rather than getting to the "root of the problem" as Dr. would say.

While I was seeing May a couple of years ago I asked her for a referral to an acupuncturist for a friend at work with a back injury, and she gave me Amy Chen's name and address. Most people are willing to take the acupuncture and a combination of patent herbal medications, but simply resist having to put forth more effort. This makes me wonder whether Juliana could use the acupressure techniques that were so helpful to my mother and myself many years ago. I have recounted my experience to many people because I have never felt anything like it, nor have I ever been bothered with the tension and blocked energy in my upper back and shoulders since. I know that it was a combination of the herbs and the acupressure not just one or the other.

I have been to the herb shop in the Great Wall Mall to get some Gum-Wall tea while May was in China and noticed a lot of people getting prescriptions for various aliments, but the packages were nothing like the herbs at Hen Sen's. They seem to be for specific aliments only and not the quality and intense cleansing that really gets rid of the problem once and for all. I am truly puzzled why people do not want to seem to put forth the effort, I know that cost is part of it, but what price can you put on your family's health? These are only my observations about the people I know and what I have seen. I will continue to make referrals and hope that what I have seen is helpful. I truly don't know how to get people to realize the value of the herbs and the skill of Juliana and May. So much needless suffering, it truly makes me sad sometimes.

I was diagnosed (from ultra sound) as having a cyst in my ovary the size of a big orange in 1996. My OB recommended to remove it and have a hysterectomy to prevent getting cancer. One week prior to the surgery, I read a pamphlet that I will need to take estrogen for the rest of my life when I have my ovary removed. I may have a good chance of getting cancer if I take estrogen for a long time. I decided against having hysterectomy and get a treatment from Hen Sen instead (recommendation from a friend). After taking herb for 2 months, I went back to my OB and took another ultra sound. At that time, my cyst was all disappeared. I have had a check up regularly and there is no recurrence.
